If you want or need to wear a face mask, shouldn’t it be fabulous and bada$$? Our Chainmaille face mask is the first of its kind. It is made from anodized aluminum and stretchy EPDM rubber rings. It is shockingly comfortable and lighter than you might think. And it only weighs about 2 ounces!
It is also washable and able to be sanitized.
You can wear it over any mask of your choice! We are no longer making the liners for the masks as we have found they work very well over disposable masks or fabric masks which are readily available now.

This mask is great for being out in public and also makes a great costume mask.
SIZE: without being stretched, this mask is approximately 7 inches wide (side to side) and 4.5 inches tall. The nose piece adds a little extra height.
STRAPS: the straps are made from round 2mm elastic cord. At the moment, we have black and white and you can leave a note if you have a preference. However, supplies are limited and we can’t guarantee the strap color.
We use slide knots when we wear them, but you can tie them in a knot or a bow if you prefer that. If you want instructions for tying slide knots, you tube is a great resource!
You can also remove the straps and use other straps if you like.
The bottom strap is at your chin line/ base of your skull. The other goes above your ears.

You can also tie the two left side straps together and the two right side straps together and wear it over your ears if you like. Do whatever feels comfortable for you!
WASHABLE:
The mask is hand-washable. Warm/Hot soapy water (not Boiling!) works great. You can also spray it with Lysol or other disinfectant spray.
DO NOT put the Chainmaille in the washing machine.
LINER: we are not currently offering fabric liners with the masks, but you can wear it over any paper or fabric mask of your choice.
COLORS:

In the options, you can choose the color or color combo for the aluminum rings. The rubber rings are black, unless otherwise specified.

If you order any of these “mix” options you will get a random mix of
Water Mix 3 colors: blue, green and purple
Water Mix 6 colors: is actually 7 colors right now! blue, sky blue, green, light green, purple, light purple, turquoise (a special edition color)
Fall mix: red, orange, gold, champagne, yellow, bronze
Rainbow mix: red, orange, gold, green, sky, blue, purple
Pastel Rainbow Mix: pink, champagne, yellow, light green, sky blue, light purple
Rose Gold Mix: Pink, Champagne, Gold
Harley Quinn: one side black with red diamond, one side red with black diamond)
U of M: blue background with large Gold/yellow M
If it’s a Color/ Color option, you will receive a V pattern of those two colors unless you make a different request: If you would like a mix of the colors OR one color in the center with an accent color for the edge instead, just let me know.
I have included a few popular combinations, but you can feel free to ask for others. For example, you could choose blue and black ice instead of blue and silver.
We can also do Sub-Zero (blue with black front) or Scorpion (Gold with black front) from Mortal Kombat.
